Proper blokes/one a fan all his life-for god's sake lets bring some honest passion back to our club which has quite frankly lost what it is all about........proper honest blokes playing for the team and proper honest fans watching them.

The Premiership has ruined us after year 2-when we get back there, lets not forget our roots.

We aint never gonna win it-but I'd rather have a 150% battling team upset the super teams once in a while/out-battle the Vilers and exist in the Prem than the lot of t*****s we had last year!

DJ/The Horse/Carter/Sadler-thats the starting point! I'd,ve said KC-but it appears he's been released "no"

Build the squad from there!

You'd pick Carter before Kilkenny?

Horsefield I love his passion, but do you forget his finishing was on a par with Heskey?

I'd pick Carter WITH Kilkenny and DJ on the right. The Horse and Forssell/Campbell is as good as it's gonna get imo.

Don't believe the hype-no bid for Jerome has been made.........

Are you saying Carter can't tackle........? Not the player I remember seeing then! His physical presence was immence in our promotion year.

Horsfield's passion would certainly have helped this season, but he wasn't much of a finisher then and now his best years are behind him.

Let's look to the future - new players that fight to wear the shirt, players with youth and ability.

Lets move forwards not backwards.

The Horse did not get enough goals - either for us or since he has left.

Carter was too inconsistent. He had the same problem at Albion and could not get in a team that finished below us. This was one decision Bruce got RIGHT.

There is no room for sentiment at this time, we need to move on and resigning these two is NOT MOVING ON.

i rate Carter as high as Carrick....... young Darren has a bright future providing he doesn't blow it.

If Carter had any pace he'd be a cracking player but he hasn't so he isn't, though I think he could do a very good job in the championship for somebody.

Horsfield had his moments too and does seem to have the happy knack of popping up and scoring vital goals but for most of the time he was pretty poor, why do so many people remember him through rose-tinted glasses, I know he worked his socks off and played with a bit of fire in his belly but so have countless others down the years but that doesn't automatically make him a great player.

Stern John, for instance, contributed as much but I never see a mass movement to re-sign him.

Come on. Look at things without all that passion. carter does not have the consistency, the pace, or the concentration to make it in the premiership.

OK he may do OK next year but if he goes back up he will be found out.

Bruce was right to sell him

The Horse would never come back to Blues. It just wouldnt happen.

We got fairly good money for Carter. He hasnt exactly made an impression with WBA now has he?

I concur. We will not, under any circumstances, be signing Geoff Horsfield, for reasons which cannot be discussed but are well-known, allegedly

Our current division and plight IMO, would suit these two and I would welcome them back. Carter however will only be a squad player, mainly due to lack of pace. Kilkenny is a better talent.

Whether or not, the Horse had poor finishing, he'd have scored more goals than Heskey this season. But you can't measure it in just goals, assists, and leadership, which I feel Horsfield would have brought to us.

With Kenny gone, a team lacking leadership and having little money, why not a shout for the Horse?

He'd have done better than Sutton in the last 6 months and at a fraction of the price.

I don't see a problem bringing old players back, if they serv the current situation.

As long as Steve Bruce is at this club I can assure you all there is no way Darren Carter would be signed.

End of that.

even if steve bruce wasnt here i wouldlnt want him, if you not good enough to play week in week out for albion you are no where near good enough to get near our squad!

We aren't much better than the Albion.

We aren't better than them full stop. They have a better goalkeeper - Greening is quality - Quashie is a great box to box player who will score goals (has always done) - Gera is more likely to stay with them than Pennant is to stay with us.

They'd be my favourites to do the best out of the three relegated clubs (we will be seen by the media as most likely to do the best out of the three but we are a mess right now - they will get off running because there's not much chopping and changing to be done)

Finally if Robson stays they play far better footy than we do (shame that Robson is about as adventurous as Bruce - thats probably what cost both of us - managers too cautious)

i agree quaishe is ok, but the only player i would have from them is gera! good player! my point is cater, is not good enough for us any more its time to move on, the only good thing he did for us was score a pen, one which i am very greatful for because it gave us 4 years of prem football, but its all over now and we need to move forwards not backwards by bringing players back that werent good enough when we were last in this division!

But surely after so much going through the motions players who understand what we want is good all-round. We all need to be on the same page, fans, players, coaching, staff - and having players who can translate to other players exactly what is expected can only help.

I don't think Carter is needed especially if Clemence stays (which i'm sure he will) and Izzet doesn't retire - but i don't think the Hors is a bad shout at all.
